i thought this had some cute ideas and the couple sounds sorta like josh and i :]
Q. We just got engaged, and we're planning a fall wedding for next year. Do you have any great fall wedding ideas to inspire us?
A. Your first order of business is to make sure those changing trees outside are on view at the locations you choose! A house of worship or reception room with windows that look out on a colorful valley would be gorgeous. You could also marry outdoors, in a park or on the grounds of an historic estate, perhaps. Other sites that take advantage of the crisp, clear weather: orchards and vineyards, bed and breakfasts, farms and ranches. As for what to wear, think rich -- an off-white, cream-colored, champagne, or beige gown. Also consider dresses embroidered with silver or gold thread. Look at seasonal fabrics like velvet, jacquard, or brocade, but keep things balanced -- if you wear a heavier fabric, you might want the dress to be short-sleeved or sleeveless, since the weather may still be warm. Grooms: Add a fall-colored tie or boutonniere to your outfit. Autumn flowers are amazing -- consider mums, sunflowers, Gerbera daisies, and hydrangea, as well as peach, yellow, coral, and white roses. Have bouquets hand-tied with gold ribbon. Decorations are easy -- think pumpkins and gourds, cornucopias, and leaves. This is the perfect opportunity to serve the quintessential fall meal. We're talking turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce -- with pumpkin pie for dessert. Can you tell that I adore fall weddings?
